Annandale · Fresh catch 7 days

Restaurant-grade seafood, now over the counter.

For more than a decade we have supplied Firedoor, Quay and Restaurant Botanic. Our first retail shop is open at 12 Booth Street — the same boats, the same fishers, the same fish.

Named fisher on every label. Traceable to the boat. Fresh catch, 7 days. Open at 12 Booth Street, Annandale. The same fish we send to Firedoor and Quay.

A decade behind the pass

We have been the name behind Sydney’s best kitchens.

Afishonado has quietly supplied some of Australia’s most respected restaurants with exceptional seafood. They trust us not just for flavour, but for certainty — every fish traced back to the person who caught it, where it came from, and how it was handled. That calibre of seafood is no longer reserved for chefs.

What’s in the case

Seven days of seasonal catch, and the advice to cook it.

Our offering shifts with the seasons, just like wine, fruit and vegetables. You won’t see the same fish every week — that is exactly the point.

  • The daily catch

Ultra-fresh, traceable product sourced only from fishers we know personally. Labels carry the fisher’s name, the catch method and the origin.

  • Made in the shop

Signature prepared products and seasonal specialties, built from the same fish — entertaining made effortless, and less waste.

  • Ask us how to cook it

Most people avoid seafood at home because of the risk of buying poorly handled product, not the recipe. We’ll tell you what to buy, how to store it and how to cook it.

Who we work with

Behind every piece of seafood is a person.

Small boats. Line-caught fish. Care over volume. Pride over shortcuts. These producers are the heroes of the supply chain, and we believe their names deserve to be known.

“As a fisherman you like to have a relationship with the person receiving the product. We value end to end communication.”

The founder

“People deserve better than mystery fish.

Founder Andrew Joseph built Afishonado with a simple belief: people deserve better than mystery fish. When you know who caught your seafood, how it was caught and when it was landed, everything changes. Flavour improves. Confidence grows. Waste drops. And the ocean is treated with the respect it deserves.

We only source from fishers Andrew knows personally. Our labels don’t hide behind vague descriptions — they celebrate the fisher’s name, the catch method and the origin.
